Happy Humpday! It’s the middle of the week and I’ve got ideas brewing! We all can’t deny that fiddle leaf fig trees were oh-so popular in the past couple of years and for good reason. I too, have one in my home and I absolutely love the green and freshness it brings to my space. Since I’m always hunting for inspiration (hello, Pinterest), and have been wanting to re-do our dining room for quite a while now, I stumbled across some images that just got me excited to start the process. The dining room was “finished”  but felt rushed and without a plan. I finally have come up with a vision for the space and the first piece of furniture was delivered yesterday. It’s a totally a different feel and aesthetic than last time around, and I can’t wait to see it come together. Let’s just say, this is going to be a bit more relaxed with laid back vibes going strong!

And in this “new” dining room, there will be… an olive tree! I actually bought one earlier this week and am just waiting to bring it home! I don’t even know where to begin with my obsession with olive trees. Maybe it’s stems from spending my childhood summers in Greece in the olive groves? Or perhaps, it’s the light, ethereal and ancient style it adds to a space. Either way, I can’t get enough. It immediately transports me and not to mention, they grow exceptionally well indoors. Big windows? Check. Sunlight? Check. It may or may not be planted in a Greek urn… I love how raw and organic the olive trees make a room feel. There’s no doubt, you’ll be seeing a lot more of olive trees used in decor. What do you think? Are you as obsessed with this trend as I am?

Thanks for stopping by and reading! Xx
