Well, hello March! This time of year, as we slowly transition from Winter to Spring, cold to warm, my body and skin tend to get a bit out of whack. So, when this article popped up in my feed about glowing skin, inside and out, I immediately clicked over. Despite the money we drop on expensive skin-care products, (guilty), such a big part of how our skin looks is what we put into our bodies. I especially love how this article and this one explain what your face is telling you about your health. Everything from breakouts to deep wrinkles. Did you know that if you have itchy ears that could mean you’re deficient in Vitamin D? Sometimes the signs are there, we just need to learn how to read them.

So, why do I love this “Golden latte” so much? Well, for firsts- it tastes surprisingly delicious! I put my own spin on it by adding some of my favorite spices: cloves, anise, cinnamon and a touch of honey for some sweetness. Second, this entire concoction is anti-inflammatory to the max! I mean, ginger and turmeric? I seriously can’t imagine a healthier duo. Dream team right there! And let’s not forget the anti-bacterial qualities of coconut oil. Which is also what adds such creaminess to this “latte”. The drink is a bit spicy, warm and soothing, creamy and will melt all your troubles (and apparently, wrinkles) away. I use fresh turmeric for extra flavor and by adding a pinch of Himalayan pink salt, it draws out the sweetness from the almond milk and honey. I’ve been drinking this every night for the past week before bed and sleep like a baby. The healthy fats make you feel full while the spices warm you up and balance you from the inside out. Why not add this to your night-time ritual? Just in time for a new month and a new season!

* If you’re using fresh turmeric, wear gloves. That orange-y goodness will stain your mani!
