CUTE THANKSGIVING OUTFIT IDEAS

As cliche as it sounds, I can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that we’re quickly heading into the holiday season. With the long lockdowns in Greece, I’ve spent the past holiday season unable to fully celebrate. This is the first year since I moved to Greece that I’m really feeling the excitement of Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving Day happens to be one of my favorite holidays. I love that it’s a holiday with no religious affiliation that celebrates giving thanks for what we already have. We need more of those holidays, don’t you think?

Since Thanksgiving Day might look different and smaller this year, I wanted to share some inspiration on dressing for the occasion. Whether you’ll be celebrating with a small, intimate group of friends, a family get together or at home, here are a few cute Thanksgiving outfit ideas to get you inspired.

Today’s post is a round-up of some of my favorite Fall Winter looks that you can wear to Thanksgiving dinner. Feel free to use these links to navigate the post.

THANKSGIVING OUTFIT IDEAS WITH A BLAZER

You know I love a good blazer – they make up the bulk of my fall and winter fashion wardrobe. They also happen to be the easiest way to polish up any outfit and Thanksgiving should be no exception. You can add an unexpected print or pop of color to an otherwise simple look or use a wool blazer to add balance to a mini dress or skirt. Style tip? Balance is key. If you plan to show bare legs, balance it with a turtleneck sweater on top or an oversized sweater. Go big or go home, right? This red blazer pant set in crimson makes the perfect outfit to make a statement for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The great thing about each of these looks is that they can easily be repurposed for the office or holiday outfits.

CASUAL THANKSGIVING DINNER OUTFIT IDEAS

While my mom may yell at me for coming with ripped jeans to a Thanksgiving dinner, these more casual outfits are great options for an easy Friendsgiving Turkey Day get together. Layering is key! I layered a ribbed sweater with an oversized sweater and skinny jeans in neutral colors for a street style look. I accessorized a casual tunic dress sweater with a pair of animal prints boots. Sometimes, the easiest way to put together a casual Thanksgiving outfit is to throw on a chic overcoat like this checkered number I bought at T.J. Maxx. And for the perfect dinner outfit? A pant set with a ¾ sleeve top cinched at the waist paired with a chic animal prints purse.

CUTE THANKSGIVING DRESSES

Can’t bear to think up an entire look? Throw on a dress and a comfortable pair of boots and you’re ready for Thanksgiving dinner. I especially love this polka dot, long sleeve top midi dress that feels effortless yet polished. Consider throwing on a chunky sweater dress that can be quickly dressed up with special accessories and still feel cozy. Who doesn’t love a sweater dress? I own several and love how versatile they are. Look fashionable and effortless with a sleek wrap dress in an unexpected retro print. For extra cold temps, consider layering a tunic dress over leather leggings. No one will notice how much Thanksgiving turkey you ate!

SKIRT SETS TO WEAR TO THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

These looks incorporate some of my favorite fall fashions trends – moody floral prints and animal prints. Fortunately, all of these skirts happen to have an elastic band – perfect for hiding that Thanksgiving dinner. I love a mini dress or skirt paired with an oversized sweater with bell sleeves and a cute pair of boots. An easy way to look fashionable and instantly polished is to pair a midi dress or skirt with a belted top and as always, throw a blazer on it. Truthfully, any of these perfect outfit combos can double up for a Thanksgiving dinner outfit or a weekend enjoying Fall Winter in the city. And as far as beauty tips are concerned, match your makeup to the season. Try a dark lip for the Winter season!
