India has been a destination I have yearned to travel to for quite some time. I’m hoping we make it to the colorful country later this year. I first read about Raas Jodhpur a few years ago. This boutique hotel in Rajasthan was once a private mansion and is known for its modern design and homage to the traditional walled city. Practically every room has an amazing view of the Mehrangargh fortress. Mimicking the walled city, Raas’ red sandstone buildings offer an oasis to all those that visit. The play with lightness and darkness is stunning and the perforated walls that let the city light in, is perfection.
