Good Morning! Today, we’ll be chatting the dining room and our new table! I knew the dining room was a priority but I didn’t realize how much until this past weekend when my parents came over. We had five people and four chairs… You can see the dilemma. While our white tulip table has served us well, it was time to get a larger table that can accommodate more than four. I plan on hosting many dinner parties!
Come in new dining room table. I’ve been keeping my eye out on online sites and sales and random Craigslist finds and finally came across one on CL that I just couldn’t pass up. The finish needs some love but the size is perfect and I really like the curved edges.
It comes in at 65.5″ long and 43.5″ wide and it comes with two 15″ leaf extensions. I opted out of the chairs because I really didn’t want a matchy matchy set, even though they aren’t that bad.
I like how there are two sets of legs for extra stability.
I saw this photo on Emily Henderson’s site and really fell in love with the color of this credenza. I thought it would look pretty fabulous on this table. Rustic, weathered and a pop of color.
If I don’t go THAT blue, then I’ll pull a bit on the lighter grey/blue/lavender side with a rustic look. I’ll be heading over to Home Depot this weekend to play around with a few stains, but so far I’m really excited to get this project going and have somewhere to sit and eat!
Now to find some chairs…any suggestions on the chairs? Would you do a bench on one side, do different chairs in the same color? So many possibilities!

very nice ..the chairs are quite good surprised you didn’t go for some of them and just painted or re-stained them like the table. Love the lavender blue-gray choice sounds excellent.
Benches are in but this is not a farm table so not sure I would add that. Different chairs are my choice.
