Lacquered Ceilings

Miscellaneous

Good Morning darlings! I’ve been rethinking the paint color on our walls and realized it turned out a bit more buttery than I had initially hoped for. The more I think about it, the more I’m tempted to paint the walls and ceiling the same color… with one small difference. High gloss on the ceilings!

I’ve compiled some examples that really caught my eye. It’s almost a bit museum like, in the sense that you can showcase all your furniture and decor without being too “sterile” and cold. Not to mention, the reflective nature of the lacquer really makes things feel airy and a bit glamorous.

I love this room so so much, it hurts! It’s like 1920’s safari meets suburbia!

This room is quite fabulous as well! The soft buttery leathers are a nice contrast to the stark white walls. Not to mention the busts sitting on the window sills are extra fab!

A few more spaces that stepped it up a notch.

You don’t have to limit yourself to a neutral or white ceiling. I’m really loving the pops of color as well!

I really like the greige lacquered ceiling- still neutral but noticeable enough to make a statement!

What do you all think loves? Would you do this subtle change for some extra elegance in your home? I’m really thinking this should happen in the near future in our home!
