I struggle with posting every day looks here, on the blog, simply because I worry they aren’t capturing enough. Ripped jeans? Revolutionary. Come to think of it, as bloggers, we’re not here to necessarily reinvent the wheel, but rather share some insight into what we define as our own personal style. And so, today, I share one of my simplest looks, inclusive of the mandatory ripped-jean shot, because this is what I wear on the weekends.
I like simple looks, probably more than I’d like to admit. I tend to focus my attention more to accessories: shoes, jewelry, the plethora of scarves I own and a bag I recently found tucked away in the over-crowded racks of TJ. Maxx. It’s in part due to the hunt that so often drives me to spend my money, but also reinventing those items with pieces I already have hanging in my closet.

I’ve always loved a good animal print. Generally, playing favorites with leopard and crocodile, I opted for a snake-skin effect this time around. These booties are, surprisingly, the perfect neutral, and go well with an all-black look (read, my everyday uniform) or a casual jean outfit like this one. Layered cashmere, it’s an obsession, I know, and an over-sized black scarf make this outfit cozy, comfortable yet still chic. I know so many of you love this Celine look-alike purse! I don’t blame you- it’s one of my favorite purses I own and a steal compared to its couture counterpart.
The accessories really make this outfit more unique than it otherwise would be, a jean and sweater ensemble. So tell me, how do you accessorize?
