I have no doubt that we have plenty of warm days headed our way, but whenever Labor Day weekend comes around, I feel that Summer is officially coming to a close. I finally managed to muster up somewhat of tan while in Greece and I’ve been desperate to keep it around a bit longer. One of my all-time favorite summer makeup looks, and perhaps, even post-summer, is a peachy palette- a warm, soft glow that is flattering on everyone.
I love products that have multiple uses, like the palette I created at Bobbi Brown- a perfect combination of bronze, dusty rose and peachy hues. I not only use these on my cheeks as color and contour, but also on my eyes as an eye shadow to tie the look together. I personally tend to not wear any foundation or concealer- if that’s part of your regular routine, then add it in as you normally would.
There’s a reason why NARS Orgasm is a cult favorite, because it gives you that perfect dewy, peachy look we’re always striving for. I also use this on my lids for an instant warm up- the monochromatic look instantly warms up your face- give it a try! Add a few drops of the Urban Decay Highlighting Fluid in Sin, to your cheekbones, bridge of your nose and your cupids bow to give you a glow in all the right places. I always make sure to use my ring finger to dab when blending product into my skin, it’s more gentle on sensitive skin.
To achieve a plumper pout, I line my lips right above the lip line in a shade that matches my natural lip color. I’ve been especially loving the Koko K by Kylie liner because it not only stays on longer, but also goes perfectly with my new NARS lipgloss in Tasmania. You’re probably thinking, a lipliner with gloss? The effect is a plumper, glossier version of your natural lip- as if you weren’t wearing anything at all!
Do you have any favorite beauty products that you used over the Summer?
