{I was inspired by these smooth clay bowls and this Belgium color palette. This room is a happy balance of the two and that pop o’ leopard never hurt anyone!}

{I love the creamy wall color but I’m mostly obsessed with this cane day-bed and the graphic pillows!}

You’d be surprised at how difficult it is to pick the right shade of white for your space and after plenty of misses, I’ve rounded up my favorite 50 shades of white. I had such a hard time picking a place to start for the condo. With the time line I (still) feel a bit rushed in making a decision. All in all, the rooms do need a fresh coat of paint before we move in and as we tackle each individual room, we can create a color scheme for the entire apartment. Until then, we are sticking with neutrals.

Who would have thought that there are so many shades of white to pick from- someone should write that book!  Since we will be going with dark floors and Petar likes light-colored walls in general, I wanted to go with a creamy white. In other words, a color that would give a glow to the walls but still keep it fresh and inviting.

50 SHADES OF WHITE

I feel as though white was labeled as boring but it has redefined itself with “less is more”. Neutrals are definitely making a comeback and it appears that more and more designers are catching on. White is great for bringing focus to artwork rather than competing and creates a larger and airy feeling. Here are a few photos of inspiration that I’ve been eyeing.

Painters come in on Monday when the stain is officially dry and will be done in a few days. The condo will be move-in ready next week! Can’t wait to show you all the big reveal, and to see it myself! I’ve narrowed down the whites to a few paint chips. I’m hoping to invoke opulence and a inviting space with a European, rustic touch.

Do you have white on your walls? If so, did you go with a cooler tone or something warm and cozy?

      How exciting- congrats on the new place! We are moving in this weekend and couldn’t be more excited. There’s something comforting about having a “homebase”. You’ll have to share photos of how the paint colors turned out! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
