Monday Progress and Weekend Snapshots

Interiors

Good Morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Our weekends have finally started to slow down a bit…Our contractors pushed our finish date for the floors back by two days which pushes the painter back and essentially our move-in date for this weekend. These things are to be expected when renovating but I’m not exactly thrilled.

Which brings me to my next point- no stain yet! They managed to stain a teeny tiny spot in the kitchen under the appliances so….I managed to get a shot to share with all of you!

I’m actually pleasantly surprised with how the maple picked up the stain- much better than I expected or the contractors predicted! *happy dance* The floors will be finished today and left to dry for 48 hours. I’m so ready!

This weekend I scored this beautiful Wisteria mirror from Craigslist and absolutely can’t wait to put it up in the new place! The original is over $250 with shipping and we picked ours up for $100! If you seek, you shall find!

I haven’t decided if I’m going tp put it in our entry way or swap it out in the bathroom. Either place, it will look grand!

I’ve been eyeing these 1950’s Italian blown glass lamps in charcoal on Apartment Therapy’s Classifieds and haven’t decided whether to splurge on them or not. What do you think? Worth the $200?

And since it felt like spring in the air this weekend (finally), I bought us some papaya and made this delicious smoothie from Skinnytaste!

P.S. I’ve decided to chop my hair off again and donate! The big reveal later this week!
