I’m definitely experiencing post-vacation blues over here. So much, in fact, that I’m researching our next big trip later this year. Spoiler alert- I’ve never been to this side of the globe! This winding, cobble-stoned street is one of my favorites in Belgrade. It climbs all the way up to the oldest part of Zemun, and atop the hill sits a small fortress. Small, hidden restaurants and bars run up and down this quaint street along with beautiful homes. Small and tasteful and so inviting. I wanted to knock on doors and invite myself in for a cup of coffee.

This white collared shirt-dress is by far one of my favorite summer purchases. And from where other than Fox’s? It’s so sleek and easy to wear and how can you not love white this time of year? I paired it with the ultimate sneaker. I’m talking oxblood, calf-hair sneakers! I bought these on a major sale at Anthropologie and can’t wear them enough. Not to mention, sneakers were the wise decision in this trek uphill. Otherwise, I would have simply rolled back down and had to start all over again. Can you imagine having to carry your groceries? I’d probably starve.

Last night I attended a great and informative blogging event and realized, my networking skills are lacking to say the least. I always thought of myself as an extrovert. I’m a Leo after all, and it’s in my stars to be wild and loud and constantly in search of the spotlight.  As I get older, I realize how far from the truth this actually is. And while I would like to pretend that my life is filled with brunches and events, and sometimes it is, I would still gladly take intimate dinners at home, read a book or cozy up for a movie night. As a blogger, networking comes with the territory and for a newly self-proclaimed introvert, it can get uncomfortable. It got me thinking…as a blog, you are your own brand. It’s so important for that to shine through. In other words, networking is critical. My trick? Be nice and professional. Those two traits will never fail you and in my own experience, they will always leave a lasting impression on fellow bloggers and brands alike.

What I’m Wearing: White Dress from Fox’s | Burgundy Calf Hair Sneakers | Kensie Purse | Vintage Jewelry
