We’re Down to Two!

Happy Friday loves!

It feels wonderful to be back home, but we had an overall fabulous time in Mexico. It was just what we needed: lots of sleep, good food and turquoise waters with a taste of culture! Now it’s back to work, back to reality and back to my ongoing to-do list (that appears to be getting longer and longer…)

We are on the hunt for the perfect couch. Remember this beauty? Well, it was short lived but she found a new home. It’s a great piece but we really needed something longer for our living room. So we have (finally) narrowed it down to two.

There’s the Harrison sofa from Z Gallerie that can be custom made in a variety of fabrics. This is the one I’m leaning towards with the only down side that it will take 6-10 weeks to be delivered. In other words, we won’t have a sofa for the next 6-10 weeks…

I’d like to get it custom in this white-ish chenille fabric they carry. It almost looks like a tweed and I live the lines. I really love the brightness of it and how I can easily swap out pillows to add pops of color. Here’s a shot of the fabric and how it looks on a different style sofa.

And then there’s this one from Interior Express Outlet. Has anyone been here before? The price is almost too good to be true and I’m a bit hesitant. We are heading out there this weekend to see the quality and comfort of the sofa.

House Beautiful conveniently has 50 designer tips for purchasing a sofa in their newest issue and while they can’t all be followed, it’s still a good rule of thumb!
