Good Morning! I’m kicking off this week with a moodboard for the NoMad Luxuries office. If you remember this initial moodboard a while back, I was inspired by Emily Henderson’s space. Since the office was put on the back burner and I focused on other parts of the house, I stumbled across a vintage persian rug with rich berry hues that I immediately fell in love with. That clearly threw out my previous moodboard. While most of the basic pieces I had picked up already were white, it will be easy to incorporate this rug and switch a few things around. I love to be able to visually see my concept on paper- this helps me especially when I’m out hunting vintage pieces!
Design Concept: I need this space to be multi-functional. It’s primary purpose is to serve as my daily office, but also as a guest bedroom for the occasional overnight guest. The sofa/bed was one of the first purchases for the room. I want the space to overall be neutral so that it won’t crowd the inspiration and shop items but throw in some color with accessories. I love how the rug adds that does of much-needed color but isn’t in the immediate view of the eye so it won’t distract. Essentially, I want to add some nomadic touches, organizational items and a few plants to bring in a natural element. I’m still a bit stumped on art…any suggestions?
Stay tuned to see how it all turns out. I’l be documenting the journey on the blog and on Instagram, too!
