Balance | an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady

These past couple of months have brought an influx of people into my life; from old friends from overseas to new faces that have entirely caught me by surprise. After a much-needed bought of solitude, these social interactions have been warmly welcomed on my end. Embraced, even. I always find it fascinating how a simple conversation can give you an entirely different perspective. I’ve found myself asking questions that I otherwise may not have given a mere thought to. Other conversations that have simply enforced my conviction in myself and my own beliefs. Balance; to stand strong. As a woman, I feel fortunate that I can be feminine and playful yet completely confident in myself. That is, perhaps, the power of a woman.

Fashion, much like life, is a balancing act. Not too much of one look or trend- striking just the right balance that tends to give you that extra edge, that fashion forward style. I am in constant search of balance; within myself and yes, even my wardrobe. And while that may sound trivial, it truly isn’t. The one tends to reflect in the other. At our core, we, women, are strong, feminine, edgy, genuine, untamed …. and so much more. For that I am grateful. I embrace the notion that I can be seductive and steal a glance from a man’s eye but know that I am entirely enough alone. That I can wear a feminine red, pleated dress and pair it with a leather, moto jacket for a playful and edgy look. Striving to be in a state of balance, forever and always….
