I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about white floors that gets me every time! A few years back I almost took to my hardwood floors with a paint roller but decided against it. In retrospect, I wish I would have just done it! I love how it instantly makes a space feel effortless and bright.
And let’s just talk about that fireplace…with the brass door? How do I get one of those? That ceramic tile, cracks and all, has so much character it hurts! It even has a crown. A crown. This space is definitely Scandinavian cool. But I have to say, I’m digging it. Oh, and eye spy an Ikea coffee table! I’m especially loving that kitchen. All white, with copper cookware, fresh herbs and farm eggs. Did you know, fresh farm eggs aren’t meant to be refrigerated. When I lived in Europe, our eggs were always on the counter- easy to reach for those early mornings. And the concrete-like walls are strangely warm and inviting.
The palette of the entire home is clad in neutrals and yet mixing in shades of of brown with the stark white, warms the entire space. I could see myself spending rainy afternoons, curled up on the floor with a warm cup of joe, a notebook and a blazing fire. Come to think of it, regardless of the rain, in a space like this, that would be a daily ritual.
