This morning I woke up to a lovely surprise in Chicago Social Magazine– yours truly happens to be in this issue’s Shop Chicago! You can read the new issue here! I’ll be doing a write up on the fun day I had with CS; visiting amazing, Chicago shops while picking some of my favorite pieces and riding around in an adorable Fiat cabrio! I’m super flattered and honored to be in a magazine that I read religiously and get all of my Chicago happenings from. And it’s a bit surreal to see myself in print, it won’t be the last time. Just putting that out in the universe!
After that fun-filled holiday weekend and a short work week, I’m pretty thrilled tomorrow is Friday already! Jen and I have a helicopter tour of Chicago with CHE Tours and my palms are already starting to sweat. So excited/nervous/border-line terrified….But this year, I promised myself to say yes to everything that comes my way! Speaking of which, I said yes to Mexican hot chocolate at The Goddess and the Baker. It was thicker than most hot chocolates and it had a slight kick to it. Obsessed. I crave it all the time. Come Fall, it may become a serious problem. But what a cute place! It’s in the loop and it has an array of pastries and drinks for a quick afternoon treat!
This outfit proves that I do dress casual. As a matter of fact, most of weekend attire is fairly low key. Ripped jeans and a tee is my preference. Snazz it up with some hardware (jewelry) and I’m out the door. And I’m finally jumping on the backpack train- this one I found at TJ Maxx for a steal and it was perfect for my trip to Greece. I love the clean and modern lines, the camel color and that it even has a discreet way of locking. There are a ton of options out there that don’t look juvenile or like you’re headed to your first day of school. Either way, I love them! What’s your take on them? Do you wear them or just can’t get behind the trend? Having your hands free is well worth it- promise!
