Recreating a Room with Lulu & Georgia

Miscellaneous

Good Morning lovlies! Are you completely loving how fast this week is going? I’m talking it’s the weekend tomorrow, already! No complaints here.

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Lulu & Georgia but have you seriously checked out their pieces? Especially their fabulous (and inexpensive) rugs? I’ve got my eyes on a few but that we’ll have to save that for another day!

I was pinning, as usual, and came across this adorable space. If you’re not following me yet on Pinterest, well you should be! I’ve got tons of goodies for you loves and can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Back to this space: I love how bright and fresh it feels with the pastel and neutral color palette. I might use the inspiration for an upcoming client and I couldn’t help but do a bit more hunting online.

That’s when I went straight for Lulu & Georgia’s website. I could recreate this ENTIRE room from L&G without batting an eyelash!

For a budget-friendly version of the beautiful chinoiserie artwork from the original photo- I would hunt out some wallpaper or fabric and frame it in a large and simple frame. Add some fresh (pink) flowers for a touch of the outdoors.

This feminine living room could be easily turned into a girl’s room/nursery and quite frankly a whole house. The soft colors are nicely balanced with organic touches in wood pieces and the neutral color palette can be easily changed down the road.

What do you all think? Besides that Lulu & Georgia has some really great pieces!

Hi McKell- this specific wallpaper is called Decor Chinois and is from A.L. Diament & Co. for a mere $15k! Yikes! But there are quite a few budget friendly alternatives out there! The Etsy store, Polkadotrose, is selling a pink chinois sham that can be easily framed! Ebay has a few inexpensive remnants and Etsy overall has some great finds. I would also check out Thibaut for some inexpensive options. Please let me know if you need any more help with your design!
