It’s Monday again…so soon? I blinked and the weekend was gone! Makes me look forward to a few extra days in Los Angeles at the end of the month! The weather was a bit crazy in Chicago, (what’s new?) but Sunday, the sun came out to play and it was nice enough to bring out the white jeans and lighter layers! This weekend involved a lot of catching up – I spent Saturday cleaning, organizing and baking a vegan chocolate cake (it turned out soooo good!). Not necessarily in that order. Sunday, I took advantage of the amazing weather and spent it outdoors shooting a few new looks with Jennifer! I also managed to squeeze in sushi with friends, groceries, meal prep and an episode of Mozart in the Jungle. Obsessed! Have you guys seen it? Oh, it’s so so so good and Gael Garcia Bernal…I don’t care that you’re only 5’6. I would happily give up heels.
For as long as I’ve been in Chicago, I don’t think I’ve ever gone down to the River walk. It was fun to be a tourist in my own city. The weather was lovely, there were tons of people out and the sun was shining. Makes you remember what a great city this really is. I’ve been wanting white jeans for the longest time and ended up buying two pairs at Banana Republic during their sale. These skinny jeans and a pair of flares that are a-mazing! I thought it would be fun to style them two different ways. You need a pair of white jeans – promise. For my first look, I paired them with this powder blue pleated top. I absolutely adore these muted hues, especially for Spring. Powder blues, ivories and creams, blush pinks and of course white. You get the point. But pair them with black accessories and you immediately add a touch of edge to the look. These shoes happen to be one of my favorite purchases recently. I ended up finding them on a whim and on major sale. Don’t you love when that happens? It’s a simple and easy outfit that still looks polished and put together. My kind of style! And the curly locks have made a reappearance. I told you! Btw, I just joined snapchat… because I didn’t have enough social media to manage. After finally figuring out how to use it, I kinda love it!
