Good Morning! Are you starting to get used to One Table on Thursdays? Or did I completely throw you off?? Today is a beautiful 59 in Chicago, and I’m feeling it! I rolled down the windows, jammed out to George Michael (yes, yes you heard right) and got excited for the summer!
For this week’s One Table, I was thinking beach, sand and great company. Easy and laid back, you don’t even have to cook!

Why not consider having a raw oyster bar at your next party? Why not make it just an oyster party? Have every guest pick a different oyster and you supply the condiments and champagne, of course!
And host it al fresco on a table like this…

Pick hues that bring the sea, sky and sand together. Think, blues and greens, whites and even peachy hues.Pastels can work too! Incorporate stripes, and even florals in these colors for a fun and fresh look!
A beach-y fete doesn’t have to be only when the sun is shining. Set up for the evening so that you can all watch the sun set and wine and dine through the night, like they did here! I love how they used drift wood and succulents as easy table decor in this photo– giving it a rustic feel!
For invitations, go with the ‘message in a bottle’ concept and incorporate linen in your decor. How wonderful is this dinner on a boat? I’m ready for you sunshine, bring it on!
A party where you don’t have to cook and still enjoy? Sign me up!
