Monday Obsession: Blue Ginger Jars

Interiors

Good Morning lovelies! How was the weekend? The weather was absolutely perfect here in Chicago. Finally, after that heat wave we had going on! I spent Saturday morning with clients and then we went for a history lesson at The Field Museum. Can’t remember the last time I had been there, but it was so much fun to play tourist in this great city of ours!

This Monday’s obsession are blue ginger jars! You all know I’m a big fan of blues and I absolutely love how these little (or big in some cases) jars can be so versatile in decor. Ginger jars historically were used to hold spices, oils, salts and yes, even ginger. Nowadays, you’ve seen them used often in decor as vases, canisters or simply for their beautiful designs.

Let’s take a look at how they’ve been incorporated into differently styled interiors…

Clearly the ginger jars aren’t the main attraction in this zebra-printed bar, but I’m loving their small and delicate stature.

Do you love as much as I do? Are you planning your next antique store hunting for these beauties as you’re reading this? I already have…  They’re popping up all over the place, Ebay has quite a few, as well!

Have a wonderful Monday! Xx
