Master Bedroom Progress

Interiors

Good Morning! I have been focusing all my attention to our master bedroom and it looks like it will be the first room to be completed in the condo! Here’s a few glimpses of how the bedroom progress looks so far…

bedroom

The heather grey bed will stay and so will the hotel-style bed sheets. I am looking for a luxurious white duvet cover and different throw pillows.

jewelry

Loving my Muji jewelry case- it makes all the pretty colored baubles pop and it looks organized for a change! Looking for a few more accessories for the vanity. Preferably in brass!

nightstand

I’ve had these nightstand for a few years now and I still love them. I can’t get over their shape and that they are from Genoa, Italy in the 40’s doesn’t hurt either. I just had mirrored tops cut and will pick them up this week. I plan on painting them black and replacing the hardware for some sleek brass ones. I haven’t decided if the lamps will stay or not-I wouldn’t mind getting something a bit taller.

vanity

I need a new mirror for the vanity and think I found the perfect one- I just need to measure for size. The Schumacher fabric was ordered for the x-benches and once they get delivered, off to the upholsterer they go! I may or may not add a brass round drawer pull for the front. I think it would be a nice touch even if it doesn’t technically need it. My Target tray has made itself right at home. This girl’s got a serious bedtime routine and that tray houses most of my creams and oils.

I can’t decide if I want to still get a cheetah rug, like in the initial plan for the bedroom OR (and it’s a big or) if I want to get a cheetah faux fur throw, like this one and go with a vintage Turkish rug. I’m thinking bold red and corals possibly even overdyed. I’m also loving the deep red and jeweled tones with blues. Kind of like this…

new rug

What do you think? Cheetah rug or tribal rug?

So far I love how it’s all coming together and I’m excited to share with you the progress as I go along!

Xx
