House Beautiful recently did a feature on interiors for every age, which I loved, by the way! It was wonderful to see the changes and how one’s life evolves, and the homes, with every decade. From funky and daring in your 20s, to calm and serene in your 30s and full of color in your 50s! There were qualities from every single space that I could draw inspiration from, but I especially loved the bold and daring space for your 20s. I still can’t get over mixing amethyst and red! So. Good.
Interior designer, Lilly Bunn, created a space for a client in her 20s who is career-driven and has a bold personality. Just like the space. Those dark walls with a lucite dining table and ikat pillows is killing it. And how about that entryway? Drooling over that mirror! The bedroom is quite traditional with a classic blue and white color-scheme. A great, calming space to catch some zzzz’s. She also gave some great tips on what pieces to invest in when you’re starting out on your own.
Love everything about this – especially the foyer and the bedroom. My kinda colors. The mirror is to die for – do you know who makes this? Red with purple is always fun! I think this is a great combination for any age! Why should 20 yr’s get to have all the fun?

I couldn’t agree more, Meredith! The mirror is a-mazing! It’s from Bungalow 5 and is called the Romano Mirror. It comes in 3 fabulous colors: turquoise, amethyst (shown) and a blue. Fun for everyone! Xx

It is simply amazing! I would better say this space is suitable for any age, but with predilection for individuals with strong personality.
