It’s been a while since I’ve updated you all. On life, that is. I feel as if it’s been a while since I’ve updated myself. I just got back from my trip to Italy and it felt like the 5 days simply blurred into one, exceptionally long and wonderful day. I’ll write up a more detailed post of my trip in the next few weeks, but it was truly glorious and I soaked up as much of ‘la dolce vita’ as I could. I would have stayed, indefinitely and am scheming for my great escape. I’m sure it will come as no big surprise when it happens.
I opted out of NYFW this season, even though I was thrilled to have even been invited in the first place. I needed to find myself on solid ground, even if for a few days, so I decided to be ‘mature and responsible’ about it and not go. Insert eye roll. I am glad I gave myself some time to recoup but am having major #fomo right about now! Jen and I have plans to make it to the Spring shows and share it with all of you!
In other news, I have found NoMad Luxuries’ new Fall intern and am excited to introduce you to her. I think she’s pretty fab and am beyond thrilled to have a helping hand. It’s going to continue to be a busy rest of the year, and frankly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I have a friend visiting me from Greece for three weeks in October and it’s his first time to the States! Talk about culture shock! I do love playing tour guide and I think it will be fun to explore Chicago through a tourist’s eyes for a few weeks. And then it’s off to Thailand and Indonesia in November! I’ve never been to Asia and am really excited for the culture overdose and crossing off a few more destinations on my bucket list! Would love any and all recommendations!
So many of you asked about this outfit and it’s actually a two-tone dress. I bought it from the Mango sale and stocked up on quite a few items for my Fall wardrobe. I love the colors and I feel that the cut of this dress would be flattering on everyone! I love mixing ivories with buttery caramels- it’s a winning combo for Fall! Hope it’s a great start to the week!
