Obviously Halloween is right around the corner, so I’m not surprised that I keep stumbling across blood-red dishes that look absolutely irresistible. Take a look at these pomegranate meringues from Manger (one of my FAVORITE blogs), also featured today on Camille Styles.

How perfect is this? According to ancient mythology, the pomegranate was considered to be the “fruit of the dead”. If that’s not reason enough to serve for All Hallowe’s Eve, I don’t know what is! Not to mention, this recipe sounds fairly straight forward and easy. It’s a win, win!

I’ll be serving the blood test-tube cocktails at the party on Saturday. If you’re hosting a spooky dinner party, why not have blood-red hot chocolate with bone marshmallows to end the night on a sweet note?

This definitely takes the cake. Cuore (Heart) Carafe is unnerving and yet thrilling at the same time. It would mesmerize any guest and doesn’t need a spooky Holiday to be brought out for dinner.
I’ll leave you with this…
“Sometimes I’m terrified of my heart; of its constant hunger for whatever it is it wants. The way it stops and starts.”
