White. Out. This home, that sits quietly on Grotto Bay in South Africa, looks like a slice of heaven. White and crisp but relaxed and inviting. I especially love the large, white plank floors that are quintessential of a beach-side residence. I would love to do that in my own home but worry that, in the dead-of-winter, it would lack the ‘warmth’ I so desperately search for.
The white canvas is perfectly suited for all the natural elements in this home. Take for example the jute rug, or the woven pendants over the kitchen island or the terra cotta planters. Did you catch the hide rug that doubles as a blanket on the back of the white sofa? That open-concept living is my idea of perfection!
