It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this gorgeous home is the home of an interior designer and that it also happens to be in Paris. The over-sized art, the wood-burning fireplace and that neutral color palette make this apartment absolute perfection. Did I mention it overlooks the Louvre? A girl can dream. Lately, I’ve been really loving off-white curtains. They seem to immediately brighten a space. And the brass details just add enough warmth. Over-sized art makes such a statement, and especially in black and white. Can you imagine lighting a fire at night, sipping wine and watching the lights from the Louvre? There happens to be a significant amount of juxtaposition happening in this space and I think that’s always important when working with neutrals. It adds depth, texture and interest regardless of the minimal color. Sharp edges complimented by soft, curved marble; urchin-like light fixtures complimented by soft fabrics and brass details. I love how the collection of books stand out against the black backdrop. I spy Fornasetti and butterfly taxidermy. Two of my favorite things! A pop of color shows up in the dining nook, where the amethyst purple pairs with the platner dining chairs. Such a stunning space! What do you think?
