Holiday Cheer

We got our Holiday on last night! My mom and stepdad came down to bring some goodies I’ve been storing by them and our Holiday decorating turned into a full on family affair. It was marvelous. We had so much fun. Classical Christmas music including Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker (of course), hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and lots and lots of tinsel!

Petar and I picked up a Frazier Fir at Home Depot yesterday. It was a great price and the service was excellent; it made the process much easier than I expected. They even let me take home some freshly cut stumps that I turned into candle holders for our “woodsy” theme.  Our entire house smells divine and oozes Christmas.

Check out some of our ornaments. That’s not even all of it!

I had purchased hand-painted ornaments from India a few years back at Home Goods and they are my favorite. I wish I had bought more since I haven’t been able to find them ever again. They give the perfect global touch that really is a reflection of who we are. The rest of the ornaments and garland we purchased at Target (got such a great deal) for a rustic cabin feel. I love how are tree turned out. It’s so warm and inviting, rustic and yet global.

{Ornaments, ornaments, ornaments!}

{Our mantel: pine, snowball candles and pinecones}

{ Pine needles, mercury votives and mini disco balls!}
