“Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all.” Harriet Van Horne, ‘Vogue’ 10/1956 {Persian Love cake by Manger. Too beautiful to eat…} I absolutely love eating at a restaurant; surrounded by the chatter…
I’ve always loved Giada de Laurentiis; her recipes are light and immediately transport me back to the Mediterranean. Where I often long to be. I’ve been craving pasta for quite a while but still wanted to keep it light. Petar’s…
I had plans to write a post yesterday and share with all of you our special Serbian custom, but I was busy cooking, entertaining and eating. So, I apologize for the delay but One Table is finally here! Yesterday was…
This recipe (which I have yet to try) has been taunting me since I first found it. From the delicious taste of dark chocolate with the spice and scent of cardamom to the crunchy pistachios and the decadent chocolate glaze.…
The Holidays are a perfect time to indulge in sweets and decadent meals, spend time in the kitchen, baking meals to be shared with family and friends and… packing on a few extra pounds. I’ve decided to give edible treats…
Monday, already?! These Holiday weeks and weekends are becoming a blur and I’m doing everything I can to enjoy the Holiday season! The Holiday Craft party this past Saturday was a success and such a blast. I should have photos to…
{The Puaca Family} Petar’s parents planned a small and intimate dinner for his side of the family in celebration of our wedding this past January. Since they weren’t able to attend on such short notice, we took the opportunity to…
Today is the official debut of One Table and I couldn’t be more excited. If you read yesterday’s announcement here, you’ll know that I wanted to find a way to inspire making time to break bread together. While the recipes may be delicious,…
{Photo via Atelier Joya} With our busy schedules and constant on-the-go attitude, the stress placed on sitting down around a dinner table has drastically faded. My fondest memories to this day are still the conversations I’ve had, with the…
Chicago, in my opinion is the food capital of the U.S. and rightfully so. With fusion restaurants, pop-up dining and even a grilled cheese bar, there’s something to indulge in everyone’s tastes. With that being said, I absolutely love…
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This one hour time change has me so thrown off that I barely slept last night; or maybe it was the anticipation to see the rest of our Holiday photo shoot from…

Obviously Halloween is right around the corner, so I’m not surprised that I keep stumbling across blood-red dishes that look absolutely irresistible. Take a look at these pomegranate meringues from Manger (one of my FAVORITE blogs), also featured today on Camille…
This weekend I tried out Damsel In Dior’s champagne cocktail recipe: champagne, Tahitian Vanilla ice cream and fresh raspberries. Pure deliciousness! Today I spotted on One Kings Lane these fabulous silver coupes. They are perfect for entertaining or simply to…
Friday Fright: Menu Planning (Part 1) Note*: I’ve decided to split up the Décor and menu-planning posts into two segments- there’s a lot of info and it might get a bit overwhelming. And we don’t want that, now do we?…
In the thick of planning a trip for a client to Italy, I always get so excited to experience some of my favorite destinations, all over again, through their eyes. It also happens to be one of my favorite destinations for a solo trip; a surrender to the senses, to la bellezza in all its forms. The Italians just do it right. Mentally revisiting some of my favorite spots in this itinerary, including an idyllic stay in Porto Santo Stefano....
One of the more relaxing weekends I’ve had in a long time. A reminder that they shouldn’t be so sporadic and few in between. As I slowly ease into the new year, and in an effort to return to the joy of writing, there’s a new post on welcoming 2024 - how I’m planning on filling my cup this month, what I’m looking forward to and more simply put, a monthly check-in with myself and with all of you. x...
I’ve been holding on to our wedding photos like a secret note in my pocket I just wasn’t ready to share quite yet. I wanted to hold on to the feeling a bit longer, before the moment felt fleeting.
After endless months of planning, weekly budgeting and saving, all the stress, our wedding day was a beautiful coming together of cultures, traditions and worlds. We were showered with love from near and far and we never lost sight of what this day was truly about – celebrating our unexpected love story. A story we will continue to celebrate.
Sharing with you today a small and intimate look at one of the happiest moments of our life together. I really do feel so very lucky to call this man my husband.
Thank you to @nicolettazarifi for capturing our special day on film and to @feelyourfilms for bringing them to life in a video we’ll cherish forever.
I spent the last week back in Chicago after two long years and while I crammed in way too much in 10 short days, I left feeling recharged and at peace...
I got to spend time with my mom and stepdad, even though it`s always too short and too fast; rented my apartment to a lovely couple; saw friends I haven`t seen in years and hit up most of my favorite spots including eating an excessive amount of Chipotle. Chicago weather behaved for us and even put on a fabulous Fall show, my favorite time of year.
And while I know the reasons why I chose to leave Chicago, it doesn`t mean that it`s not still a very important part of my life and of who I am. It seems, sometimes you need to leave home to truly find yourself. I was able to share all these amazing moments, in my (other) city, in our other home, with my husband, family and friends. I know how blessed I am and I never take this life I`ve built for granted.
A small ode to my other city, sweet home Chicago!...
Proud to have been able to pen this piece for @hello_going as @airserbia rolls out their first direct flights between Serbia`s capital city of Belgrade and the "Windy City" - and my hometown of Chicago -after a 30-year hiatus.
While this article is meant to act as a comprehensive guide to flying Air Serbia; it is also a nod to Air Serbia’s long history and authentic culture and cuisine making it an affordable and competitive option when looking to hop the pond....
Finally got around to writing the first - of many - posts on Morocco while taking gardening tips from the beautiful Le Jardin Secret - a lush, green oasis in the heart of the medina in Marrakech. #mangogirls...
