Sometimes you just need a change of scenery; a moment to escape the hustle and bustle and clear your mind. We recently discovered the Wilson Avenue stretch of the beach and it feels like you’ve left the city completely. Complete with mini sand dunes, grasses and seagulls. Who would have thought there are so many hidden gems in Chicago?
This linen top from Theory is in the perfect shade of ocean blue. The cut is comfortable yet manages to look polished and was a major score from TJ Maxx! I love when that happens. I paired it with casual, frayed pair of jeans from Zara and packed this extra-large snake skin tote. This purse has been on a ton of trips with me, especially for its multiple compartments and option for hands-free use. The colors are neutral enough that they match with pretty much anything, but the texture adds something extra to an otherwise simple outfit.
One of my favorite purchases have been my Tod’s wedges that wrap up the leg and come in the prettiest of sky blues. Not only are they comfortable to wear all day, but they also have an espadrille-element to them and can be worn with a dress or skirt.
