I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This one hour time change has me so thrown off that I barely slept last night; or maybe it was the anticipation to see the rest of our Holiday photo shoot from this weekend. We had such a great time with Dabble Me This that I’m literally on pins and needles waiting for the rest of the shots. Patience was obviously never a virtue of mine…
Last Thursday, I attended the Eden Grinshpan Holiday Event for a global spin on classic Holiday dishes. Petar accompanied me, for the free food of course, and surprisingly had a great time. The event was held at the Kenmore Craftsman Live Experience in downtown Chicago and thanks to the Chicago Blogger Network, was a great success. Passed hors d’oeuvres, mojitos and mingling with other fellow bloggers was a perfect start to the night.

Cooking Channel’s Eden Grinshpan, from Eden Eats was so adorable and fun; she made everyone excited for the upcoming Holiday season. Eden and Kenmore have come together to promote a new website, Cookmore, a site tailored to sharing your “traditionally different” recipes with the online world. You can even create your own cookbook just in time for the holidays. *Perfect Gift Alert*
Eden prepared three delicious recipes that would literally take all the guessing out of Holiday cooking and surprise your guests with an nontraditional twist. Here’s what was on the menu…
- Curried Lentil and Carrot Soup
- Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Chimichurri Sauce (This was absolutely delicious- my favorite!)
- Mediterranean Turkey with Pita stuffing
These delicious recipes can be found on Cookmore.com and be assured that Eden’s all about ease and making it taste “like a mama made it”! Not to mention, every time you upload your own recipe, Cookmore will donate $1 to Heroes at Home Charity. Tis’ the season of giving, after all.
When we caught up with Eden after the event, she told us that her 9-month treck through India changed her life and her appreciation for Indian cuisine. She continues to play with spices and her dishes still carry the influence of her amazing trip.
I’ve officially added Kenmore appliances to my Want list and can’t wait until we move into a place of our own to invest in the “grab n’ go” fridge and double oven. It’s all about the resources and let me tell you- you’ll never dread hosting the Holidays at your place next time!
A big thanks to Eden Grinshpan for her inspiring recipes and Kenmore for their amazing appliances. Chicago Blogger Network, thanks for having us and making the evening so enjoyable.
