It’s Christmas week and I have yet to decorate the tree, hang the stockings, and wrap the gifts. This year has completely escaped me and unlike last year where I had Christmas up in October, I’m feeling behind schedule, to say the least. I would be happy to slip away from everything and end up in this Swedish cottage. A true winter wonderland, with down bedding, minimal decor and pops of red. The space is so simple, with vintage details and country style. And that kitchen! I can imagine waking up early on Christmas morning, making a hot cup of cocoa and adding homemade marshmallows for a touch of sweetness. A bouquet of fresh greenery I snipped from the outside yard and a home filled with the soft glow of candles, Christmas tunes in the background and the sound of laughter. That farmhouse sink, white plank wood floors, touches of burlap, wood and evergreens make this the perfect space to celebrate the holidays. Lately, I’ve been craving simple. A life and home filled with less “things” and more moments.
