Valentine’s Gift Guide (Wishlist) and the Perfect Pink

Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us and if you’re like me, you’re waiting until last minute to pick that perfect gift. While flowers and chocolates are always appreciated, they’ve become somewhat expected these days. I’ve been trying to decide whether I would prefer a Valentine’s gift to fall in the romantic category or perhaps something a bit more practical, like a food processor (on my list)! After Christmas and the New Year, we could be a bit strapped for cash. So does expensive necessarily mean better….?

I’m leaning more towards, no. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to turn down Cartier. Cut me some slack. But I feel like Valentine’s Day, a Hallmark holiday, after all, can use a care-free makeover. I’m thinking hands-on classes the two of you can share together or a home-made romantic dinner per deux like this menu, here. And a card. You’ve got to have the card so you can put down in words exactly how you feel about the other person.
