Holiday Traditions

Holiday

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to Holiday Traditions this year. While every family has their own set of traditions they follow, every now and then you have the opportunity to create your own or at least add a few to the mix. Last night Petar and I went out to the Christkindlmarket in the city and it was such a great way to get into the Holiday spirit. Small porcelain boots filled with Glühwein, German bratwurst, marzipan and all the ornaments! It transported me right back to Europe. We couldn’t stop eating the chocolate covered marshmallows.. They were amazing!

Tonight we’re headed off to see Joffrey Ballet’s The Nutcracker and I am so excited, I feel like a kid again. There’s really something so romantic about this time of year and whether your watching Miracle on 34th St. at home in your pajamas or exploring Christmas markets in the city, it’s a perfect way to take advantage and spend time with your loved ones; reliving memories and creating new ones. This year is especially special for me, since it’s our first Christmas together we get the opportunity to create some wonderful traditions to celebrate as our family one day expands.

What are some Holiday traditions you look forward to every Holiday Season? Any new ones you hope to incorporate this year?
