The American Hotel in Panama City, Panama deserves a post of it’s own. And shall get one. In the meantime, it has served me for this week’s inspiration of Recent Obsessions. You must check out the space. The tile work, the woven art on the walls, the tropical textiles…all grounded by black shelving units and neutral furniture. This is exactly what I expect Central American style to look like. The tin tables with grommets add a bit of an edge to the woodwork of the chairs. And the woven art is so chic and gives an indigenous touch to the space. A perfect and harmonious blend of traditional and yet modern elements. Surrounded by green foliage, this is the perfect space to enjoy a meal or simply catch up on reading with a cafecito.
