Lonny Magazine’s Editor in Chief redid her high-rise bedroom and I couldn’t be more in awe. Despite the play of patterns and fabrics, the room still oozes light and elegance. I decided that I MUST attempt a look for less. I tested Petar’s reaction with a few photos to see how feasible my idea was. If option A wasn’t successful, then option B was to simply do it anyway and hope for the best! To my surprise, Petar loved the look!
Again I have a few different ideas I would like to incorporate. Our new dresser would give the room just the right amount of warmth from the caramel-colored wood.

Instead of the x-bench frames shown here:

A Queen Anne bench would be a cheaper alternative and still anchor down the bed. To bring in the brass (rather than chrome) I would use gold nail heads.

A DIY Canopy bed with instructions found on Lonny. Such a great idea!

This fabric is a must. I don’t know the price but it might have to be my one splurge…

Mirrors and metallics to give the room some glimmer and of course…stripes!
These nightstands are probably my most favorite estate sale find to date. They are from Genoa, Italy circo 1940 and refinished in a midnight blue. Thinking of going a glossy black on these babies!
And of course, add a touch of my NoMad look with a Persian rug. Like this one here:

I’m excited to start hunting for pieces and have a winter project to look forward to!
