Happy Friday everyone! I am so thankful I made it through the week. I’ve been battling a cold all week that just won’t seem to budge. But with that being said, I’m excited to recoup this weekend and cross some things off my ever-growing to-do list! Our Holiday cards have been sent out, our gifts have been delivered and wrapped and now I want to savor the Holiday magic this next week! I hope you all have something fun and festive planned this weekend!

Here are a few of my favorite pins this week!

This Holiday decor is everything! I love the over-sized tree and the natural boxwood elements. Not overdone but a statement nonetheless!
How fun are these tree cookies in all shades of emerald and green? A great gift and a fun afternoon baking!
If I had the time and patience to DIY these adorable mini present drink stirrers, I’d be all over it! Perfect for your Holiday party.
Need an idea of what to wear to all those Holiday parties this season? How about this sparkly emerald number from Asos?
Really want to switch things up? Plan a Christmas Day picnic brunch…outside. Yes, outside!
And remember what this day is really all about- being thankful for family, friends, love, health and all the ups and downs of life. Remind your guests with gratitude and affirmations!

Yana: I’m looking at your Instagram slide show widget and liking it…do you know what it’s called? I’ll try and look around for one. I have the more traditional Instagram block widget. I am loving being on WordPress (it’s been less than a week!) and haven’t really started on the new design yet. Always so much to do, no?

I’ve been holding on to our wedding photos like a secret note in my pocket I just wasn’t ready to share quite yet. I wanted to hold on to the feeling a bit longer, before the moment felt fleeting.

After endless months of planning, weekly budgeting and saving, all the stress, our wedding day was a beautiful coming together of cultures, traditions and worlds. We were showered with love from near and far and we never lost sight of what this day was truly about – celebrating our unexpected love story. A story we will continue to celebrate.

Sharing with you today a small and intimate look at one of the happiest moments of our life together. I really do feel so very lucky to call this man my husband.

I spent the last week back in Chicago after two long years and while I crammed in way too much in 10 short days, I left feeling recharged and at peace...

I got to spend time with my mom and stepdad, even though it`s always too short and too fast; rented my apartment to a lovely couple; saw friends I haven`t seen in years and hit up most of my favorite spots including eating an excessive amount of Chipotle. Chicago weather behaved for us and even put on a fabulous Fall show, my favorite time of year.

And while I know the reasons why I chose to leave Chicago, it doesn`t mean that it`s not still a very important part of my life and of who I am. It seems, sometimes you need to leave home to truly find yourself. I was able to share all these amazing moments, in my (other) city, in our other home, with my husband, family and friends. I know how blessed I am and I never take this life I`ve built for granted.

A small ode to my other city, sweet home Chicago! ...
