Good Morning! Did you all have a great weekend? Despite the rainy and cold weather, it was a fabulous weekend. It was Orthodox Easter so I celebrated with family and ate some crazy good food. My aunt is probably the best cook I know, sorry mom. But honestly, that woman makes magic in the kitchen and never follows a recipe. So lots of lamb, veggies, and my favorite Easter soup that I won’t even bother telling you what’s in it….you wouldn’t eat it if you knew but it’s amazing. I wait all year to eat it! Needless to say, I indulged this weekend. And my bestie, who’s visiting from Greece came by on Saturday and we literally had the best girls’ time. Wine, snacks, magazines, plans for my trip to Greece and so much laughter. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much. It was the perfect reminder I needed. A glimpse of my old, carefree and fun self.

I constantly strive to have it all together- my life, that is. From this blog, to my job, my relationships and all the stresses that life throws your way. But is life polished, cohesive or half the time even on-track? Rarely. I want to be more transparent with you all. Sometimes, I forget I’m only 28! You can say I’m uptight. I need to remember what it’s like to let loose, enjoy in the moment and just have some fun. That’s why I’m looking forward to this upcoming trip. To late nights, dancing with strangers, laughing with friends and simply being. Breathing, existing in the moment. Being silly and saying whatever comes to mind. You can catch a glimpse over on my snapchat ‘nomadluxuries’.

But let’s talk about this outfit for a second! I told you that I snagged a few pieces at the Gilt City Warehouse sale and this dress just happens to be another from Ava + Aiden. I’ve never heard of this brand before and it seems to be exclusive to Gilt but I love their pieces. I love how the waist cinches, the utility pockets make it a bit safari-esque in style, yet the silky fabric makes it dressed-up enough for weekend plans. It’s literally in the perfect shade of bone and it just so happens that it’s a perfect match for these shoes. I regret not buying these shoes in a black pair, as well and am on the hunt. Ebay, I’m looking at you! The platform makes the sky-high heels manageable and the mesh and open toe detail make this a year-round shoe. Hammered, silver accessories and a black, croc-embossed bucket bag give a little edge to this head-to-toe neutral look. Comfortable, versatile and polished. At least my wardrobe has it together. #lifegoals

So, here’s to a new month, a new and improved Yana and to new beginnings! Spring revival. Happy Monday! Xx

P.S. I’ve linked directly to the shoes that I found on ebay, here.
