Another glorious weekend in the books! And it definitely helps that it’s sunny and warm this Monday morning. This weekend was so much fun and just reminded me that summer in Chicago is my favorite. There are so many people out and about, great restaurants, the lake…shall, I continue? And speaking of great restaurants, this weekend I finally made it to The Blanchard. Have you been? This restaurant has been recommended to me time and time again and for good reason. It was delicious. The best part, it’s completely inconspicuous. I would have never known it was there. But oh, the food. Delicious french fare. I would highly recommend it.

When I look back to my style over the years, it’s interesting to see how it has evolved. What I’ve moved away from and what still attracts me and has become a common theme in my closet. I have a mix of styles…I’m all over the board. Just like my music preferences. Hello, George Michael! Sometimes I can be classic, other times, feminine and casual and most of the time, edgy. That seems to be the direction I’m headed lately but doesn’t mean I don’t like to mix in some sweet and feminine pieces. I actually prefer it that way. The juxtaposition to strike the perfect balance.

This outfit happens to be a perfect example of my different styles. This eyelet top paired with these ripped jeans are a perfect duo. I bought this top at Banana Republic recently and it just went on sale! It doesn’t hurt that they are having an extra 50% off sale items, either! I’ve also worn these jeans in this post and this one because they are currently my favorite. They are so incredibly comfortable, perfectly ripped and look super chic. They also happen to be under $100!

Do you tend to stick to one type of style or do you like to mix to create a balance that works for you?

Definitely can’t stick to one style! One day I’m edgy the next I’m loving minimal or going feminine & foxy. So many beautiful clothes and styles, I couldn’t pick just one. Love the ootd & post lovely! Viv x https://stylecite.com

But isn’t that what makes fashion so much fun? That we don’t have to be stuck to one style or aesthetic and it can really reflect our mood that day! Thanks so much for stopping by lady! Xx
