Despite that it hasn’t felt much like Spring in Chicago, in fact, it’s snowing as I write this, a change in the clock yesterday made for a quick realization that Spring is around the corner. I immediately have a renewed sense of energy and excitement with the new season approaching. Grocery stores are filled with colorful, spring flowers and produce, days are longer, the sun brighter and I’m eager to finally open the other closet where I store my spring/summer wardrobe. The few perks of an ending relationship, no need for a ‘his and hers’. And while it’s not warm enough to shed all the layers, I have started to slowly incorporate lighter colors, splashes of white which make up half of my wardrobe and my version of florals.

This top has become a quick favorite, rotated to the front of my closet. It manages to cover just about every checkbox- stripes, florals, blouse and blue- a color I can’t seem to get enough of these days. Pairing it under a simple, cashmere sweater in the faintest of blues, keeps me warm and gives me that loved layered look. A pair of mom-jeans and a metallic pump that adds just enough height. I find that by half-tucking your over-sized or longer tops, it allows you to see your waist and in turn makes you appear smaller.

Are there any questions you have about styling a certain piece or perhaps a general shopping question? I’ll be rounding up questions and answering them once a week, perhaps even in a video. Would love to hear from you all! xx
