Periwinkle Blue

The temps are finally warming up in Chicago and even though Spring is on its way out, I’m loving pastel-hues and bright pops of color to welcome the sunny days! I especially can’t get enough of periwinkle. It’s that perfect shade of blue, that can pull blue or purple depending on the lighting. I picked up this light-weight v-neck sweater from J.Crew and paired it with a dark-wash, skinny jean and a pair of neutral, Oxford-style heels. My quilted clutch is perfect for running around town since it allows me to have my hands free for mandatory soy-chai lattes!

This week’s outfit is simple and easy without skimping on style. The easiest way to add a little something special is to throw on a statement necklace. I’ve been on the hunt for vintage, estate jewelry and this beautiful piece happened to come home with me. {It’s for sale on my Etsy shop, too!} The moonstone mimics the blue-purple hues of the top and the gold chain adds a regal note.
