Peachy Hues in Carmel by the Sea

I took full advantage of being outside as much as possible while I was on the West Coast last week. Over the weekend, Petar and I took a few smaller road trips and spent an entire day in Carmel and Monterey. I made sure to pack a few of my winter staples to transition into the spring-like temps in NoCal. I’m glad I did, because it was rainy and cold according to Cali standards. And by cold, I mean fifties and overcast.

This leather skirt has made its debut on the blog before but styled and ready for winter days. I added some brighter pops of color and a floral sweater to transition it for Spring. I would nix the tights and put on a heeled boot or a chunky heel, but for exploring and walking all day, my flat Ralph Lauren boots came out to play. I paired the skirt with my Loft floral cardigan. And then there’s this scarf- I can’t stop wearing it. I love how incredibly soft it is, how it adds a pop of color and how perfect it is for Spring. Now can Zara please make this in a pale pink so I can add to my collection?

Btw, Carmel is the cutest town- it’s like someone took the homes out of the Cotswolds and transplanted them to a beach town in sunny CA. It’s so incredibly quaint there and the shopping is fantastic. We ate breakfast at Em-Le’s and while the food was delicious I purely picked it because of their turquoise front door. While shopping and eating are top priorities for me, I do like to add in a cultural element to my travels, which brought us to the Carmel Mission. The gardens were breathtaking and the Basilica was also stunning. {Photos above}

    I nixed a day trip here on my last visit to California, and I’ve regretted it ever since! This lovely post does not help 😉

      It was raining earlier that day and we almost cancelled our plans but so glad we didn’t. Definitely on your next trip! 🙂 Have a great weekend! Xx

    Love Carmel! Whenever I visit Northern California, I wish I could skip the flight back home for good!

      It’s hard not to! I’m growing quite fond of California – not to mention, that weather!
