Good Morning! If you remember on Monday, I posted the first of these two looks with a more masculine spin on the suit. Today, I wanted to play up the feminine side; a suit set of neutrals that can be both dynamic and feminine. I have been loving the concept of wearing a monochromatic look- mixing different shades and gradients of the same color to create a cohesive look. It immediately adds a touch of chic to any outfit, in my opinion. This suit is a mix of separates from different brands and spanning over several years. I purchased my pants from Zara in Istanbul, my blazer was on sale at Loft and my sheer, pink top I purchased at a consignment store. Together however, they create a neutral, slightly blush, set. I love the intensity of the small black purse and one of my favorite pairs of earrings (I also have them in bone). A sleek pony tail and my Italian sunglasses literally polish this entire look off.

These two looks were based on breaking the notion of what a woman in the corporate world should look like. My work ethic, performance and knowledge is not lessened by the fact that I like fashion nor that I prefer not to dress within the parameters established for the workforce decades ago. If anything, we as women, show our best when we are feeling our best. There is no doubt the correlation of one’s outfit to their mood. When you feel comfortable in your own skin, it will shine through. So this outfit, while not outlandish or extreme, was intended to push the walls on the “unspoken” constraints placed on working women. One outfit at a time.

Thanks so much, Ashleigh! I love how wearing different shades of the same color can immediately elevate a look. Hope you have a fabulous rest of the week! Xx
