I told myself that the remainder of this year, I am going to try and say yes to everything that comes my way. You never know what opportunities you may miss out on because you were close-minded or stuck in your ways. I’ve started traveling much more and while that’s always been a priority to me, being able to go on a whim and jump at the opportunity, is a fresh and exciting feeling. Spontaneity is what’s been lacking. Last week, I decided to take a helicopter tour of the city. I used to be terrified of flying. Words cannot describe the dread and fear that would come over me every time I had to get on a plane. Fortunately, the reward of a new destination, culture and adventure always outweighed my fear. It had never actually stopped me from taking a trip (except for one time…when I walked on and right off my Lufthansa flight). Needless to say, it was a real struggle for many, many years. So, deciding to take a helicopter tour was a big step for me; looking past the fear and towards the excitement.

Jen joined along for the ride, which helped ease my nerves, and it was so. much. fun! We flew with CHE Tours and the views of the city were incredible. I almost forgot we were flying and fortunately, the pilot had a sense of humor! Looking for a fun date night or simply an outing with your girlfriends, I would definitely recommend it! It’s just enough to give you a bit of an adrenaline rush and when we were all done, we changed out of our flight attire and headed for a shoot in the city!

This dress from Asos is on major sale right now and I love the simplicity of it. The high slits on both sides make it a touch sexier and add some interest. I paired it with neutral heels, silver jewelry and some golden aviators. Since the dress has a slight higher neck, I pulled my hair back to polish up the outfit. I’ve worn this for work to paired with sneakers on the weekend and a moto jacket. It’s a great piece that would easily transition to the cooler, Fall months. My mind is only on Summer right now and what other exciting things I’m going to say ‘yes’ to! Kind of like the motorcycle I was really hoping I would get a ride on.
