Yes to it already being Wednesday! Happy Hump day! We’re inching our way closer to the weekend! This week is flying by and it’s already a new month this Friday! I’ve got a fun trip planned to LA at the end of April and am so excited for some much needed girl time and vitamin d. I would love all of your recommendations on where to eat and any must visit places that aren’t so touristy.

The weather has been great in Chicago and I’ve been starting to weave in some of my spring pieces alongside my winter wardrobe. Hoping the transition to lighter pieces will come sooner than later. But in the mean time, I love how this outfit came together. It’s funny to look back and think how much your style has evolved. I remember I used to wear pencil skirts all.the.time. Then there was a period where I completely swore them off. They were too “corporate”. And finally, they’ve made their way back into my closet.

This pin stripe version from Banana Republic has quickly become a favorite. I love a good pencil skirt, but sometimes I feel like I need to wear stilettos and frankly, let’s be real, that doesn’t happen as often as it used to. Nevertheless, I wanted to find a way to incorporate these polished pieces into my every day style- which usually involves running around. Dressed up casual is my thing, lately. So, I paired this skirt with my pointy pair of ankle booties, a simple crew-neck sweater in the perfect shade of heather gray and one of my favorite silk scarves. I love the blue and pink combo and the fact that it was thrifted and only $3 makes it that much better! The paisley design and color combo make it so fresh, you would never know it’s vintage! To bring out the blue in the scarf, I added my powder blue cross-body purse. Are there any pieces in your wardrobe that you’ve decided to give a second chance to?

As always, thanks for reading! Xx
