This Toronto home caught my eye over the weekend and I knew I had to share it with all of you. While the base colors are black and ivory, the warm wood tones add a much needed dose of warmth to the space. I’m such a sucker for those industrial, steel-framed windows. They must cost a pretty penny but I can’t imagine that a coat of black paint might not create the same effect. This definitely needs to happen in our home. Adding it to the to-do list! This space is so perfectly edited- that’s what struck me the most. The custom, walnut cabinets were designed by the homeowner herself and they are an extension of the walnut kitchen island. Which, by the way, doesn’t it look like the perfect bistro straight out of Paris? Serious dining envy. I imagine a french press and croissants while the morning light fills the room. Le sigh. The white subway tile, vintage chandelier and antique mirrors add a more ornate detail to the otherwise modern home. Yet, it ties in perfectly with the open floor plan. Such a stunning space! What do you think?
