I’m not generally drawn to primary colors, especially in my home, but this loft in Madrid made me reconsider everything I’ve thought about interiors up to this point. This space takes color to a whole new level. Colors I never even thought of pairing together, work so well in this light-filled home. The furnishings are contemporary with one of a kind art and sculpture. Vintage pieces are sprinkled throughout to help balance the space. Let’s talk about that fiery red armoire filled with a collection of plates and barware, shall we? If that’s the bar, I can only imagine the cocktails! The home almost has this fantasy-like appeal to it. Almost whimsical. The bedroom, on the other hand, is serene and calm with whites, a steamer trunk and vintage postcards. The kitchen, a muted space with original hand-painted tile and gorgeous french doors to let the light in. I happen to love the fireplace wall that is wallpapered with a lush, mauve velvet. Every room has its own unique character and color scheme that effortlessly flow into one another.
