Happy October!

Miscellaneous

I hope you all had a seriously fabulous weekend! It was the perfect fall weather here in Chicago; our final days of an Indian Summer. It was a great way to say goodbye to September and welcome October with open arms. This weekend was the perfect balance 0f work and play.

Friday evening, Petar and I dined at our favorite restaurant in the city, Piccolo Sogno. A glass of Nero D’Avola (my favorite Italian wine), with Ravioli al Tartufo Nero, and you can understand how this has become our favorite spot!

On Saturday, we spent the entire day outdoors. We try to take every opportunity to get outside before the Chicago winters locks us inside. The Long Grove Apple Fest was such a blast. Since everyone else had the same idea that we did, the fest was packed with people, but nevertheless the downtown was quaint and a perfect setting for a fall event.

We took tons of photos with our new camera, but here’s a few post-worthy ones…

Finally, Sunday we spent the whole day reorganizing and moving around furniture. Our closet looks amazing, will post some pictures and tips this week so stay tuned, and we made our living room/dining room a bit more entertainment friendly for the Halloween Fete this month.

What did everyone do on their weekend?  Love reading your comments!
