Elizabeth and James Floral Maxi | Gladiator Sandals  | Vintage Gold Locket |

We all had a glorious Memorial Day weekend here in Chicago. It was sunny and consistently warm! Jennifer and I headed to friendship park where the flowers were in full bloom and we were reminded what a glorious city Chicago can be when it’s not below freezing!

This week’s outfit is one of my favorite dresses in my wardrobe. I picked up this beautiful floral-print maxi from Elizabeth and James at a major sale at Neiman Marcus and love the romantic flow of the dress. It’s light and moves beautifully. Not to mention, I like that the base color is dark so that the pattern is not overpowering. The silhouette is flattering on any body type and the slit in the front showcases the fabulous pair of shoes. I love the bohemian vibe of the maxi dress and how it can be so versatile. This would be perfect for a Summer wedding. I would cinch the waste with a belt, slick back the hair and carry a fabulous clutch. OR, throw on a leather jacket and head out to an impromptu dinner and drinks. I paired the dress with my grandmother’s gold locket (that carries a picture of me and my mom) and an edgy gladiator heel to balance the feminine look.
