DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT | SOPHIE BUHAI
This month’s Designer Spotlight has made me realize how much I’m attracted to strong, statement jewelry. While I love dainty and feminine pieces, too, there is really something about heavy metals that always manages to catch my eye. When I came across jewelry designer, Sophie Buhai, I was tempted to spend my entire life savings. Seriously. I want everything in her collection. Her pieces are strong, slightly tribal in aesthetic and are handmade in LA. These are statement making pieces; pieces worth building a life-long collection with. I especially love the lobe earrings, the ring trio (I’m seriously considering buying) and the choker. But I would gladly take anything! And how about that barrette? I can’t remember the last time I wore one, clearly it didn’t look like Sophie Buhai’s. Do you love the collection as much as I do?
