A Teaspoonful of Productivity

Personal

Have you ever realized that whenever you are under the weather, your task list seems to creep up on you? While you’re lounging on the couch, snuggled up in a blanket and drinking tea, you have that sudden urge to go work out or start that DIY project that’s been on your to-do list for months. You can’t of course, because you’re sick. The fact of the matter is that when I feel like my normal self again I always seem to find an excuse not to do the tasks at hand.  Funny how that works! I’ve been battling these productive tendencies for the past ten days and now that I am feeling better, I have decided to actually act upon them.

So, this weekend I’ll be looking forward to…

So true and thanks for the reality check…but for me these things happen every night before bed when I realize I could have done more or been more effective. The lists revolve and evolve forever refining and reprioritizing. Wishing you productivity and good luck!!

I SO know that feeling! I’ve been sick all week and have a million things floating around my head. As soon as I get up to do anything, I make a cup of tea and sit back down!

Beautiful pictures and thank you so much for your Kira comment – fingers crossed!

That’s what happens when our mind and body are on different pages. I suppose it reminds us to slow down occasionally- otherwise we never would! Yes, please do keep me posted. Fingers crossed indeed!

Ooo you’re blog is just a whole bunch of wonderfulness. I LOVE your layout- clean and simple, but stands out at the same time. I’m also in love with that breakfast in bed shot. I’m doing that exact thing right now actually (well, lunch actually) but somehow my Kashi frozen meal doesn’t look as romantic as tea cups and fresh fruit.

Thanks Haylee for the lovely words! I almost want to frame the photo, to remind myself to stay in bed just a bit longer. It has to be the perfect way to start the day…a touch of indulgence and you’re ready for whatever comes your way! Kashi doesn’t sound so bad! 🙂

So true! That even happens to me, while I’m at the office, as I get to think “when I get home, I’ll do this and this…” but by the time I arrive I only want to rest!!

Half the time I’m trying to convince myself to do the items on my checklist. I’ve been trying to allot 30 minutes everyday to at least one errand or priority. So far so good…we’ll see how long it lasts. I remain optimistic!
